Gold Internet DOCSIS 3.0
Sunflower Broadband is pleased to inform you about some exciting changes to our Gold Internet service.
Gold Internet as of November 1st, 2009- Data Transfer Allotment 120 GB
- Download speed up to 50 Mbps
- Five email addresses
- Minimum level of service required: Broadcast Basic or $10 Cable transport fee applies.
- $39 Basic install fee
- Residential subscribers only
*Wave Runner service is not a wired cable modem service therefore the new Gold Internet service is not available to these subscribers.
For subscribers in Lawrence and Eudora, Starting November 1, 2009, Gold Internet will offer much faster download speeds of up to 50 Mbps and increased upload speeds of up to 1 Mbps. Gold Internet subscribers will also receive a higher data transfer allotment of 120 gigabytes. With these great upgrades Gold Internet's price will increase to $59.95 per month.
To receive this new level of service a DOCSIS 3.0 modem is required. We have several options available for you to acquire this new modem which include:
- You can choose to rent a DOCSIS 3.0 modem from Sunflower for $5.00 per month. If you are already renting a modem from Sunflower, simply bring in your modem and swap it for a new 3.0 modem at no additional charge.
- You can purchase a DOCSIS 3.0 modem from Sunflower Broadband for $79.00. Sunflower Broadband is offering current Gold Internet Subscribers a special trade-in offer. Bring in the modem currently active on your account and receive a $54.95 credit towards the purchase of a new DOCSIS 3.0 modem, making the purchase price $25.00 plus trade-in modem.
- You can purchase a DOCSIS 3.0 modem elsewhere.
For subscribers outside of Lawrence and Eudora, Gold Internet will remain $49.95 per month until we have completed the new DOCSIS 3.0 roll out in your area. (Estimated completion of February 2010). You will however receive a higher data transfer allotment of 120 GB starting November 1, 2009.
